Installation

You can get started with Abacus in a few simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the Atlassian Marketplace.

  2. Search for Abacus or select this link to navigate there.

  3. Select the “Try it free” button.

  4. In the dialog that is displayed, select your hosting type and select start free trial. If you are not the Jira administrator, please let the admin know so that they can install it for you.

  5. Ensure that you are logged in and install the application.

You are now good to go and can enjoy Abacus!

 

Administration

There are two areas that affect Abacus Administration:

Global Administration

Abacus is ready to use out of the box. However, if you plan to use Date or Duration formulas, we recommend paying attention to the Working Days configuration. Working days can be configured globally by navigating to Settings > Apps and selecting Global Working Days from the left-hand sidebar.

Project Administration

After navigating to Project Setting > Apps > Abacus, you can create new formulas or adopt existing formulas from other projects, create and maintain execution plans and configure project-specific Working Days.
