This release was massive. We changed a lot. This release was dubbed “Quality of Life” release. We listened to your asks and we addressed a lot of them. In essence, we wanted to bring closer multiple personas that work together in Checkout. In addition to serving your internal customer using the portal to order items, we included ability for your vendors to see and track purchase orders right from the portal interface and ability for them to send and track invoices related to the purchase orders right from the portal. This has an added benefit for your accounting team to be able to process invoices sent to them via the portal.

Here are some highlights of what we include in this release.

New Agent navigation

Checkout hub was getting crowded with tabs. Therefore, we switched to a vertical navigation to give us more room to add more features while giving links some meaningful categorization.

Revamped Purchase Orders

We added a new Purchase order issue Type and Request Type to allow interaction with vendors right from Jira. This allows all communication between vendors and procurement team to be centralized right within Jira. Vendors can view all their purchase order right in Jira, ask questions via comments. Additionally, vendors can view all their previous orders from the portal.

Invoice

We also added a new Invoice issue type and Request Type to allow vendors to create an invoice once items have been shipped. This allows vendors to associate an invoice with the Purchase order and allows accounting team to receive and process invoices related to purchases without confusion. In the future, this will lease to easy reporting for the accounting teams in your organization.

Inventory Search improvements

Improved search UI now has the ability to flatten lists instead of grouping them by AssetTypes. With his new feature, it is now easy to see asset assignments. This feature paves the way to ability to create new reporting features in the near future.

Improved Department Storage

We added ability to create unlimited number of departments. The way we store data in your Jira limited the number of departments you could create. Now, you can create infinite number of departments.

New Icons

This feature may seem trivial. However, it give Checkout some much needed color to differential Checkout issue types from the default.

What items are inventory?

Now, item portal shows your customer what items are in the inventory and can be deployed quickly.

Asset Attachments

We heard from our users the need to attach all sorts of files to assets purchased, particularly receipts and warranty documents. We we went further than that and added a way to view assets attachments within the assets view.

Search Purchase Orders with JQL

We added ability to search purchase order attributes using JQL. For example , you can search for all purchase order made to apple.

issue.property['com.mumosystems.purchase-order'].vendor.name ~ "Apple"

Bug fixes.

We did not just add more features, we also bugs you have raised.
