Asset Management is an important component of Checkout.

There are three key features that pertain to asset management. All of them are essential to a well functioning asset management system.

  1. Integrations: Allow you to choose and configure your asset management provider. Checkout currently has two asset management providers. Customer and enable either or both at the same time.

  2. Asset Types: This is the categorization of your assets. Asset Types can have different names depending on the provider. For example, in Jira Assets, Asset Types are just an object with a name.

  3. Attributes: Store metadata related to your assets. Customer can figure any number of attributes and associate them with the asset types. When assets are created in the asset type, they take on the attributes associated with the asset type.
