Map Field Values

Thus action is used to map predefined options in select field, Radio buttons, Check boxes and Jira Systems fields such as Priotity to corresponding numeric values in order to use in numeric calculations or just simple store the select text value as a number. A good example its use in in forms where you want to provide abstract options that are later calculated or stored as a number for other purposes.

The selected value can be stored in a result field or it can be forwarded to the next action to use in a calculation.

Open

• Select a Jira text field with predefined values (e.g. droplists, radios, etc.)

• Check the text values that should be assigned corresponding numeric values. Leave unchecked if the text value should not be assigned a numeric value.

• For each of the current field text values, enter a corresponding numeric Map To Value

• Save the Map Field Values Action
